Teacher Training

Whether teaching hands on modalities, sciences for massage school, communications and ethics, or weekend workshops, the artful facilitation of learning for aspiring and practicing massage therapists requires skill and competence. Come explore the art of teaching through The Massage Outlets Teacher Training Program, offered through ASIS Massage Education.

ASIS has been training Massage Students and Massage Educators for over twenty years. Offered at any of ASISs four locations throughout Arizona, they have supported numerous Massage Professionals in reinvigorating their careers with the Masters Teacher Training Program. By observing and participating in the ASIS curriculum, Teacher Trainers (TTs) have the opportunity to experience a full-time, transpersonal training dedicated to the whole person. At ASIS, a variety of feedback opportunities are provided for students to discover how they best learn. The objective of this self-directed course is to expose therapists to the theories, techniques, and experiences necessary to become massage school instructors. Explorations of group dynamics and individual psychological characteristics are discussed. A variety of methods to organize classes and workshops are examined and discussed, as well as learning how to write a lesson plan and create a class syllabus that supports the heart of the class. Teacher Trainers will regularly meet with Teacher Training Instructors for discussions. Computer access is essential for this training.
